The Subway sandwich chain will pay $645,000 to settle allegations of overcharging and false advertising made by the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office and other agencies.

Subway franchises in Sonoma County and others in Marin and Santa Cruz counties apparently overcharged for “meal deals” and failed to adequately disclose restrictions on advertised promotions, Deputy District Attorney Matt Cheever said Friday.

The settlement, which stemmed from a case filed in Marin County, mirrored other Subway cases unfolding across the state, Cheever said.

I have to wonder if any of this happens up here in Humboldt County.
