Part of the reason to make this blog is to give a voice to that which is suppressed here on the North Coast. I find blogs to have too much crude language. Posts that are off topic, or have foul language will be edited, or deleted. However grammar, and spelling is not my strong point.
I’m in charge of the group that is clearing the railroad right of way, as part of the
Timber Heritage Association. We are starting at the Samoa Cook House and heading North. We meet the 4th Sat of each month ending in Oct. Next work party in Aug, we will need to use a speeder, to transport tools, and people.
Other work party’s are working on the roof of the roundhouse most Saturday’s and Tuesday’s. The A&MR RR 101 is being worked on most Saturday’s. FYI it already has biodiesel in it. We found it gets rid of the ugly black smoke regular diesel puts out on the locomotive.

“The Timber Heritage board meeting is Tuesday night so we will roof
Wednesday nite instead, this week only. Someone will be there by 5:30
and we’ll probably work till 8:30. The roofing is about one third done.
Of course you’re welcome at the board meeting Tuesday, 6:30 at the
Eureka Water District building, 828 7th St., Eureka” This is from Bob, the one in Charge of restoring the Roundhouse.
I decided to put this in to the comment section, to give an update for this week. Further weeks I guess, will be their own post.
It feels good to work towards something positive. This is not a stab towards people who do not want to help out for whatever reason. Just my feeling.
